It seems the buzz around ‘Rasode Mein Kaun Tha’ will take time to die. It has now caught the Union Minister Smriti Irani, who boasts of an impressive following on social media.

On Sunday, she took to Instagram to share a spoof version of the viral clip Rasode Mein Kaun Tha and it features Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi as well. The spoof video, edited by a page called Meme_Hub, shows Smriti Irani delivering the now-famous Kokilaben dialogue. Instead of Gopi Bahu and Rashi ben, the video has Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi.

Smriti Irani:

"Bas ab yahi bacha tha (sic)," Smriti Irani wrote as she shared the clip.

The clip ended with BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra saying "Rahul hi Rashi hai". For the uninitiated, Sambit Patra recited the entire viral rap-song on live television and concluded it saying that Rahul is Rashi.

The spoof video shared by Smriti Irani left netizens in splits. Within an hour of being posted on Instagram, it garnered over 85k views.

Saath Nibhana Saathiya:

Earlier this month, a scene from the television show “Saath Nibhaana Saathiyaa” went viral on social media.

In the scene, the show’s character Kokilaben questions her daughter-in-law Gopi for keeping an empty cooker on the gas. Her exact dialogue which went viral was, “Rasode mein kaun tha”.

Ever since Yashraj Mukhate shared this clip on social media, Kokilaben, Rashi ben, Gopi Bahu and their Rasoda (kitchen) have become household names. So much so, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya 2 has also been announced after the music video went crazy viral.
