BJP has announced its candidates for 78 seats out of 230 seats in Madhya Pradesh, but the name of State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has not yet been included among these 78 candidates. Due to which discussion started in the political circles whether BJP is sidelining Shivraj Singh Chouhan in Madhya Pradesh?

According to the current political picture of the state, there are more obstacles in the way of the coronation of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh than the Bhartiya Janata Party in power in the state.

In his recent speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi too neither mentioned the Chief Minister of the state Shivraj Singh Chauhan nor any 'ambitious plans' of the MP government.

On the same day the PM returned to Delhi from Bhopal, the party had released its second list of 39 candidates for the MP Central Assembly elections. The names of three Union Ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, Faggan Singh Kulaste, Prahlad Singh Patel and four MPs were also included in the second list. Along with this, the name of another powerful leader of the state and General Secretary of Bhartiya Janata Party, Kailash Vijayvargiya was also there. It is said that at one time Kailash Vijayvargiya's name was also considered in the race for the Chief Minister of MP.

Shivraj Singh Chauhan's politics is now on the decline?

Earlier on 21 August 2023, Home Minister Amit Shah had visited Bhopal. During this time, he had also released the 'report card' of Shivraj Singh's tenure. During his visit to Bhopal, Amit Shah had said in response to the question of the journalists about the face of the CM, that "Shivraj ji is still the Chief Minister. Who will be the Chief Minister after the elections, this is the work of the party and only the party will decide."

After this statement of Amit Shah, discussion started in the political circles that BJP is looking for an alternative to the longest serving Chief Minister in Madhya Pradesh.
