Shatrughan Sinha joins Cong, says "BJP one man show two man army"

New Delhi: Known for his rebellious nature and outspoken personality, ex-BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha on April 06 ends his decades-old association with the saffron party and joined hands with Congress.

Veteran actor and ex-BJP leader Sinha joined Congress in presence of Congress General Secretary KC Venugopal and Randeep Surjewala in a press conference.

“The best politician of the country is joining the Indian National Congress today. The best politician was in the wrong party, now he’s in the right party...This election is going to be a fight against an anti-democratic, anti-development Modi government," K C Venugopal said while welcoming Sinha in his party.

Citing few reasons why he quit the party, Sinha said, "Senior leaders like LK Advani, was sent to Margdarshak mandal which hasn't held even a single meeting so far. They did the same to Jaswant Singh, Yashwant Sinha. I was even told that since I have been a critic, I was not given a cabinet post. In the one-man show, two-men army, everything happens from PMO. Ministers can't work freely in the government.

Talking about the current scenario in politics Mr. Sinda said, "LK Advani ji had, in his blog, said your rival can be an adversary, not your enemy. There has to be a sportsman spirit. Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji had compared (former PM) Indira Gandhi with Goddess Durga, that was statesmanship."

The speculations were rife for quit a time that Sinha will quit the party after he came out vocal against BJP.
