Kanpur: Uttar Pradesh Minister for public works Shivpal Singh Yadav, unlike state chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, has no liking for Swami Prasad Maurya who has recently resigned from the Bahujan Samaj Party.

“ He had got more than what he deserved in the party. Still, he is criticizing the party and saying things he should have avoided. He has lost his mental balance”, he stold media persons here on Friday.

Referring to the upcoming assembly election in the state, he said, in 2017 poll his party’s rival will be the Bhartiya Janata Party and not the BSP.

A day earlier, the chief minister, had expressed a different opinion. To him, Maurya is a “ likable person”.

On the other hand another cabinet minister Azam Khan advised Maurya to go back to his party.

Unmindful of these reactions, Maurya has called a meeting of disgruntled BSP members to decide future course of action. As far as he is concerned, he has not yet decided which party he will go to after resigning from the BSP.
