Kolkata: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday took a jibe on West Bengal Chief Minister and Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee’s incapability of fighting against ‘the saffron party’ all alone as she gathered ‘people from all over the country’.
West Bengal BJP president Dilip Ghosh said, "In the coming Lok Sabha polls, BJP is posing a big challenge to all other parties and everybody understands it."
He further said, "Mamata Banerjee knows she cannot take on the BJP alone. So she is gathering people from across the country. This shows she has gone on the back foot.”
It is to be mentioned that on January 19, Banerjee had organized a mega Opposition rally at the Brigade Parade ground in Kolkata in order to shore up Bharatiya Janata Party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha polls.
Leaders from various opposition parties- SP, BSP, TDP, DMK, HD Deve Gowda, JD-S, Congress, AAP, National Conference, RJD, LJD and JMM, had attended the event.
