UP minister accuses PM of creating financial emergency

Lucknow: Samajwadi Party leader Ravidas Mehrotra attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi over demonetisation and said he had sent the country to a undeclared financial emergency.

"Today the entire nation is dealing with undeclared financial emergency that has been created by PM Modi,"he said. The minister further stated that the note ban decision has been taken by the government to hide their incapability in fulfilling the promises they have done to the country.

Mehrotra said," The BJP government had promised that it would bring the black money back to India and every resident of the country would be given money in their bank accounts but its been two and a half years and no such thing happened."

The SP leader accused PM of breaking the trust of the nation and said that the party could never come into power in Uttar Pradesh.

It may be recalled that the opposition parties are holding protest against centres decision of demonetisation. claiming that it had increased the suffering of common man. SP Chief Mulayam Singh Yadav and BSP supremo Mayawati had also declared it a financial emergency in the country, earlier.

The Trinamool Congress Chief Mamata Banerjee is protesting in Uttar Pradesh's capital against the central government. The protest had also been supported by Samajwadi Party.
