New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi again attacked the Center on Sunday over the rising prices of petrol and diesel and gas. Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "The central government looted in broad daylight from both hands… Number one, heavy tax recovery on gas-diesel-petrol. Number two, selling PSU-PSB to friends, its share, employment and facilities from the public Snatch.''

Rising fuel prices are affecting demand conditions in India. According to official figures, the country saw a sharp decline in fuel consumption for the second consecutive month in February.

Hike in Petrol Diesel Price:

During the month of February, the price of petrol has increased for 16 days. Due to this, it has become expensive by Rs 04.74, in Mumbai, petrol has reached Rs 97.57, which is the highest among metro cities. With this, petrol has gone at an all time high price in almost all cities. Talking only about January and February this year, petrol has become expensive by Rs 7.36 in 25 days.

Petrol in Chennai is being sold at Rs 93.17 and diesel at Rs 86.45. Petrol 91.35 and diesel Rs 84.35 in Kolkata, Petrol 99.21 and Diesel Rs 89.76 in Bhopal, Petrol Rs 88.54 and Diesel Rs 86.12 in Ranchi, Petrol 94.22 and Diesel Rs 86.37 in Bangalore, Petrol 93.48 and Diesel 86.73 in Patna, Petrol 87.73 in Chandigarh And diesel is being sold for Rs 81.17, petrol in Lucknow for 89.31 and diesel for Rs 81.85.
