The race for ministerial post has intensified in Rajasthan. The first session of the 16th Legislative Assembly began on Wednesday. The newly elected MLAs were sworn in on the first day of the session. After swearing in, Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma left for Delhi late in the evening.

The Chief Minister has reached Delhi for the second time in three days. This visit of CM to Delhi is being considered important for cabinet formation. After the announcement of the names of CM, Deputy CM and Speaker in Rajasthan, now all eyes are on cabinet formation. According to the strength of MLAs in Rajasthan, a maximum of 30 ministers can be made. Three ministers have already been announced as Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, Deputy CM Diya Kumar and Prem Chand Bairwa. In such a situation, now 27 MLAs are involved in the race for ministerial post.

Lobbying of MLAs for the cabinet has started. At the same time, there are some MLAs who are conveying their views to the party leaders through their supporters. On Wednesday itself, the Brahmin community raised its voice to make MLA Sandeep Sharma, who won from Kota South Assembly seat, a minister. Many people performed havan-puja for the society and raised their voice for making Sandeep a minister. Such news is coming out from different districts.

According to what is coming out from inside, the high command will play a big role in the cabinet selection. The way the Chief Minister and Deputy CM were selected from the high command level. The same is going to happen in the case of ministers also. On the other hand, names of many old BJP leaders as well as many new MLAs are being discussed for ministerial posts in Rajasthan. It is also coming to light that the cabinet formation in Rajasthan will be done in two phases.

Names of 15 ministers may be announced in the first phase. The high command is trying to combine youthful enthusiasm with experience in the cabinet. After the meeting of CM Bhajan Lal Sharma and Deputy CM with senior leaders in Delhi on 17 December, it was being said that the list would be decided in a week.
