PM Modi

In a recent election rally in Rajasthan’s Banswara, Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a statement that has ignited a heated debate. He alleged that if the Congress were to come to power, they would distribute the country’s wealth to “infiltrators” and “those who have more children.” The remark has drawn sharp reactions from various political leaders, including AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi.

The Controversial Statement

During his speech, PM Modi cited former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s remarks, claiming that Muslims had the first claim on the country’s resources. He questioned whether hard-earned money should go to “infiltrators” and whether the public approved of this distribution. The Congress manifesto, according to PM Modi, promised to calculate gold with mothers and sisters and then distribute that property. However, the Congress hit back, accusing PM Modi of lying and creating a divide between Hindus and Muslims.

Owaisi’s Response

Asaduddin Owaisi, the president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), lashed out at PM Modi for his remarks. Owaisi accused the Prime Minister of “abusing” Muslims to gain votes. He highlighted that under Modi’s rule, the first right to India’s wealth had been given to his wealthy friends. Owaisi pointed out that only 1% of Indians owned 40% of the country’s wealth, while common Hindus were made to fear Muslims. Their wealth, however, was being used to enrich others.

Congress’ Stand

The Congress party rejected PM Modi’s claims and clarified that their manifesto did not promise such a distribution of wealth. They accused the Prime Minister of creating a false narrative and attempting to divide communities. According to the Congress, their focus was on inclusive development, not favoring any specific group.

PM Modi’s statement has added fuel to the ongoing political discourse. While some see it as a strategy to sway voters, others view it as an attempt to polarize the electorate. As the election season unfolds, the debate over wealth distribution and the rights of different communities will continue to dominate headlines.
