Picture of Jaipur Lok Sabha seat is clear, 13 candidates will try their luck, total 114 candidates are on 12 Lok Sabha seats

After the last date of scrutiny of nomination papers and withdrawal of nominations, 13 candidates are in the fray from Jaipur Lok Sabha seat and 15 candidates from Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha seat.

Under the first phase of Lok Sabha elections-2024, the picture of Jaipur Lok Sabha seat and Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha seat has become clear. After the last date of scrutiny of nomination papers and withdrawal of nominations, 13 candidates are in the fray from Jaipur Lok Sabha seat and 15 candidates from Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha seat. A total of 28 candidates will try their luck from both the Lok Sabha seats.

From Jaipur Lok Sabha constituency, Indian National Congress Party candidate Pratap Singh Khachariyawas, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Manju Sharma, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Rajesh Tanwar, Socialist Unity Center of India (Communist) Party candidate Kuldeep Singh, Rashtriya Samata Vikas Party candidate Trilok Tiwari, Rashtriya Sanatan Party candidate Narendra Sharma, Indian People's Green Party candidate Pradeep Verma, Right to Recall Party candidate Shashank Singh Arya, Bhim Tribal Congress Party candidate Advocate Harikishan Tiwari along with Dr. Asim Verma, Yogesh Sharma, Rajiv Roliwal and Harinarayan Meena are in the fray as independent candidates.

From Jaipur Rural Lok Sabha constituency, Indian National Congress Party candidate Anil Chopra, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate Rao Rajendra Singh, Bahujan Samaj Party candidate Hanuman Sahay, Republican Party of India (A) candidate Ajay Bhatt, Right to Recall Party candidate Aditya Prakash Sharma, Rashtriya Savarna Dal Party candidate Yogi Jitendra Nath Advocate, Ambedkarite Party of India candidate Dr. Dashrath Kumar Hinunia, Bhim Tribal Congress Party candidate Advocate Harikishan Tiwari including Dr. Om Singh Meena, Kahnvi Bohra, Devhans, Neha. Singh Gurjar, Prakash Kumar Sharma, Dr. Ramroop Meena, Ram Singh Kasana are in the fray as independent candidates.

Chief Electoral Officer Praveen Gupta said that on Saturday, 2 candidates each from Sikar and Dausa Lok Sabha constituencies and 1 candidate each from Jaipur, Alwar and Nagaur constituencies withdrew their nomination papers. After the deadline for withdrawal of nominations ended on Saturday, a total of 114 candidates are now participating in the elections in 12 Lok Sabha constituencies.

Praveen Gupta said that 2 independent candidates Satish Insha and Shankar Lal Sharma from Sikar, Kailash Chand Meena and Naresh Kumar Meena from Dausa, Ram Avtar Sanwariya from Jaipur, Mahendra Kumar from Alwar and Bhanwar Singh from Nagaur have withdrawn their nominations. Voting for the first phase of elections will take place on April 19 and counting of votes will take place on June 4.
