Nation remembering Sushma Swaraj; Politicians pay tribute on social media

New Delhi: Today, the entire nation is remembering BJP leader Sushma Swaraj on her first death anniversary. She took over as foreign minister in the first term of Modi government. Her husband Swaraj Kaushal and daughter Bansuri Swaraj wrote emotional messages on Twitter remembering her.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Syed Akbaruddin also remembered her.

On first death anniversary of Sushma Shwaraj, politicians across India are remembering her. Prime Minister Modi remembering the late Union Minister, wrote, 'I am remembering Sushma ji on her first death anniversary. Many people have been saddened by his untimely and unfortunate demise. She served India selflessly and was a vocal voice for India on the world stage. This is what I said in his prayer meeting.

Vice President Venkya Naidu wrote, 'I am still unable to accept the fact that a year has passed since he went to heaven. She was my dear sister, who used to come to our house to tie rakhi to me on every Raksha Bandhan. We all admired Sushma ji's language and speeches. The correctness of the language, the selection of words, the fidelity of ideas, irrefutable logic and facts made him a popular speaker.

BJP President JP Nadda tweeted and said, 'Salutation to former Union Minister, a symbol of simplicity and mildness, soft spoken and sharp speaker, Padma Vibhushan Smt. Sushma Swaraj ji. He said that he always gave priority to public service. Their work and struggle in nation building will be unforgettable.
