Lucknow: Samajwadi Party President Mulayam Singh Yadav on Sunday expelled again party general secretary Ramgopal Yadav for six years for indiscipline. This is his second expulsion in three days after he was redrafted into party only yesterday.

The decision has been taken by the parliamentary board after Ramgopal held a National Executive meet at Janeshwar Mishra park here where Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav was elevated as the new National President of the party in place of Mulayam Singh Yadav.

In the letter issued by Mulayam, he has termed the meet as unconstitutional and the decisions taken there as illegal.

The letter also confirmed that the list of candidates released by the party chief Mulayam Singh has been sanctioned and soon the list of candidates for remaining seats will be released.

The letter further states, few people in the party, to escape CBI probe in the irregularities practiced by them in the past, are continuously disrespecting Mulayam Singh to benefit the Bharatiya Janata Party. The meet was called for the same purpose.

The parliamentary board also called for an emergency National Executive meeting at 11 am on January 11, 2017 at the Janeshwar Mishra park here.
