Lucknow: Karnataka assembly results are yet another shocker to Congress. It looked like anybody's game till Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched himself for spectacular poll campaign.

The ascendancy of Rahul Gandhi at the helm of affairs in the Congress failed to garner favourable results for now looked a beleaguered political outfit the Congress. BJP snatched the power in the southern state as well leaving 133-year party to be politically relevant in just 2.5 per cent of the total India.

Modi, in his own inimitable style of aggressive politics, had said at a public meeting during Karnataka election campaign that let May 15 (result day ) come, the Congress will be reduced to PPP ( Punjab, Puducherry and Pariwar ) thereby not forgetting to deride family politics of Nehru-Gandhi.

It was in 2014 Lok sabha elections when the Bharatiya Janata Party President Amit Shah had declared to make India 'Congress-Mukt ( Congress free)'. The dice has been cast and his claim, which seemed hyperbole at that point of time, has been proving true. AAP in Delhi, Congress in Punjab while the alliance of Janata Dal (U), Congress and Lalu's RJD in Bihar may have upset the apple's cart of BJP but at the moment, the supremacy of saffron party is indubitable.

True ! the verbal barbs were exchanged during the campaigning in Karnataka but at the end of the day , the winning is what matters and what Modi said proved right. This is order of the day.
