The ongoing decline of Congress in Madhya Pradesh is showing no signs of stopping. The situation is such that every day news comes out from somewhere or the other about some Congress leader and workers joining BJP. In this series, Congress got a shock on the last day of Lok Sabha election nomination in Shahdol, Madhya Pradesh.

Here, dozens of Congressmen, including Kotma Municipality President and Vice President, joined BJP on the stage in front of Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla.

Immediately after the nomination of Shahdol Lok Sabha candidate Himadri Singh, Municipality Kotma President Ajay Saraf and Vice President Vaishali Badri Tamrakar along with dozens of their supporters left Congress and joined BJP. All these leaders joined BJP in front of Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla. State Deputy CM Rajendra Shukla made all of them join the party by wearing the saffron band of BJP.

Among the leaders who joined BJP, Kotma Municipality President Ajay Saraf, Kotma Municipality Vice President Vaishali Badri Tamrakar, District General Secretary Lala Bhaiya left the Congress party and joined BJP. Along with this, dozens of his supporters and workers have also joined BJP.

113 candidates from MP filed nomination for the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, these stalwarts including Kulaste-Nakulnath are in the fray.

Actually, BJP's target is to get one lakh Congressmen to join BJP. In this regard, State BJP President VD Sharma has claimed that till now around 50 thousand Congressmen have joined BJP. At the same time, sources say that BJP has set a target of including one lakh Congressmen in the party.
