Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday lashed out at the Congress and accused the Rajasthan government of sheltering rioters even as he appealed to the people of the state to support the BJP.

Addressing a series of election meetings in the poll bound state of Rajasthan, Modi targeted the state Congress government and Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot.

The Prime Minister once again mentioned corruption, nepotism, appeasement and 'Lal Diary' and made verbal attacks on the Congress.

He also attacked the Congress government failed to act against the rioters and instead it provided protection to them. He said that strict action should have been taken against the rioters, but Chhabra, an accused in the riots, walks on the red carpet at the official residence of the Chief Minister.

BJP has always had a special relationship with the people here. ‘’ Baran, Jhalawar region has given two Chief Ministers each to BJP for Rajasthan. This year we are celebrating the birth centenary of late Bhairon Singh Shekhawat ji. I once again pay homage to him at his workplace’’ he remarked.

''Now we have the goal of a developed India. But the goal of making India developed is incomplete without developing Rajasthan. As long as the three enemies of the country namely corruption, nepotism and appeasement are among us, it will be difficult to fulfill this resolution. Congress is the biggest symbol of these three evils," He added.

"Nowadays, Lal Diary of Rajasthan is the most discussed. As the pages of this red diary are opening, winds are blowing on the magician's face. It is clearly written in this red diary that how the Congress government has sold your water, forests and land in the last 5 years’’ Modi said.
