Mission 2019: Modi to touch 20 states in 100-days to seek support

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi after facing defeat in three Hindi heartland states, has strategies his moves to “activate” BJP workers and seek support from voters in 2019, by visiting nearly 20 states in just 100 days.

Among these 20 states, West Bengal, Assam and Odisha — together account for 77 Lok Sabha seats, of which the BJP holds just 10, which are to be the key focus areas to touch in his 2019 poll thrust.

Prime Minister has gird his loins to win new territories and make new alliances in 2019, for which he is scheduled to address public meetings over the next 100 days. The information has been provided by senior functionaries of BJP who are familiar with the matter.

BJP has started to strategies its moves to win Lok Sabha elections. Apart from this, now the party has revived “Mission 123” also. According to this mission, BJP will aim to win as possible the 123 seats that the BJP contested but did not win in the Modi wave. At that time, Modi wave took BJP to an incomparable 282 seats in the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.

Last year BJP categorised these 123 constituencies into 25 clusters and divided these clusters into 25 leaders appointed by BJP high command. Talking about this matter, functionaries said that to address public meetings PM Modi will visit nearly 20 states over the next 100 days.

A BJP general secretary who asked not to be named told media that most of the Modi’s public meetings will be a part of government programs. Further he said that 'Mission 123’ has already started.

The Prime Minister inaugurated a new Indian Institute of Technology campus in Bhubaneswar and also addressed a rally in Khurda on December 24, 2018.
