SP misleading people by inaugurating unfinished projects: Mayawati

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo, Mayawati on Monday said that BJP and state ruling Samajwadi Party are no different in deceiving people by making false development claims.

Mayawati said that Samajwadi Party's flagship 'expressway scheme' was originally announced by BSP on April 20, 2008, keeping in mind the development of entire state. Akhilesh Government, however, has limited the scheme to benefit only the people of Kannauj and Saifai.

- Law and Order had been a major concern in Uttar Pradesh since SP came into power.

- Development claims are restricted to papers as execution of various announced schemes are practically not possible.

- Lucknow-Agra Expressway has been inaugurated in a haste.

- Work is still underway on the expressway but state government wanted to take poll benefits by inaugurating an unfinished project.

- Akhilesh Yadav is aware that Samajwadi Party won't retain power in the state for second term.
