Mayawati slams Shah for recalling Kalyan Singh's govt

New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati on Thursday said that BJP President Amit Shah has offended 22 crore people in Uttar Pradesh for his call to form a government similar to Kalyan Singh in the year 1992.

Mayawati said Kalyan Singh, during that regime, did various unconstitutional works in the state for which he was punished by the court.

Shah, during a rally at the backyard of Mulayam Singh Yadav in Etawah, recalled the Kalyan Singh's government in the state, where criminals were either behind the bars or were underground.

What else Mayawati said?

• Mayawati said that law and order situation in the BJP ruled states are the worst.
• People in the BJP ruled state face casteism, communalism and exploitation every single day.
• People live under the threat of government.
