Mayawati attacks Akhilesh Yadav govt over poor law and order

New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati on Thursday attacked Uttar Pradesh's Samajwadi Party government and its Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav saying that during their tenure in the state, the number of crimes has seen a significant rise.

The former UP CM also dared the SP government to send the goons, punks, mafias, communal and other criminal elements, who belong to Samajwadi Party, behind bars. Mayawati claimed that such people have a free hand in the state under SP's rule.

What Mayawati said?

  • How will Akhilesh Yadav's hi-fi 'Dial-100' facility benefit poor when the state government is itself shielding the criminals from police?
  • The reports of hooliganism being practiced by a prominent SP leader and former MP in Allahabad are a slap on the state government's face.
  • UP Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav today once again reiterated his government's stereotype talks, but the people of the state are not going to believe their false promises this time.
  • The SP government has withdrawn cases against few Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders who were charged with practising irregularities by the previous BSP government. The move clearly indicates that SP and BJP have tacit understanding between them.
  • So, Muslim community should think twice before giving their vote to SP.
