Amid the dithering over party's candidate from Amethi, the erstwhile bastion of senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, posters have come up in Amethi in support of Robert Vadra's candidature from Amethi.

There is no information about who put up these posters. In this poster, the people of Amethi have been written as petitioners. In the posters that have been put up in Amethi, it is written that the people of Amethi should call for Robert Vadra this time. After the installation of these posters, now those speculations are also gaining strength under which it was being said that this time Congress can field Robert Vadra from Amethi.

These speculations are also getting further strength from the statement of Robert Vadra under which he had expressed his desire to start his election journey from Amethi itself.

As the Congress did not declare any candidate from Amethi, the sitting Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP from Amethi and Union Minister Smriti Irani took a dig at senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and his brother-in-law Robert Vadra. She had claimed that she had got more work done in just five years than Rahul Gandhi had done in his 15 years as an MP.

This comment of Ti Irani comes after speculations that Robert Vadra was likely to contest elections from Amethi. Amethi has been considered a stronghold of the Congress party for a long time, but in the 2019 elections, Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi. During the Lok Sabha elections 2024, voting will be held in Amethi in the fifth phase on May 20.

At a meeting in Amethi, Smriti Irani said, "Jija ji's eyes are on the seat, what will Saale Saheb (Rahul Gandhi) do...? There was a time when people traveling in buses used to mark their seats with their hands." Used to leave a handkerchief, so that no one sits on it... Rahul Gandhi will also come to mark his seat with a handkerchief, because his brother-in-law is eyeing this seat.
