New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah were reported to hold a meeting at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg on Thursday and had made calls to shortlisted candidates chosen for Cabinet ministry including Smriti Irani, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Prakash Javadekar, Piyush Goyal, Ramdas Athawale, Rajnath Singh, Nirmala Sitharaman, Prahlad Joshi, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Babul Supriyo, Nitin Gadkari, Nityananda Rai, Sanjeev Baliyan, Anupriya Patel, Thawar Chand Gehlot and Harsimrat Kaur ahead of the swearing-in ceremony today.

Earlier in the day, Modi had paid tribute at the National War Memorial after visiting Raj Ghat and Atal Samadhi ahead of swearing-in ceremony to be conducted at Rashtrapati Bhawan at 7 pm later in the day. He was accompanied by BJP chief Amit Shah and other MPs.

-Leader who are also said to have received call for cabinet ministry are Kailash Chaudhary, Krishan Pal Gurjar, Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Som Prakash, Rameshwar Teli, Ramesh Pokhriyal, Anupriya Patel (Apna Dal), Shiv Sena's Arwind Sawant, Santosh Gangwar, Subrata Pathak, Dimple Yadav, Sanjay Shamrao Dhotre, Narenda Singh Tomar and Harsimrat Kaur Badal.

-Family members of Pulwama martyr Sudip Biswas, one of the CRPF personnel who lost his life in terror attack, arrives in Delhi to attend PM Modi's oath taking ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan. "We have been invited to attend the event. Despite being in sorrow we have come here," say martyr Biswas mother.

-Y. S. Jaganmohan Reddy sworn-in as the CM of Andhra Pradesh, in Vijayawada.

-Candidates who are said to have gotten calls confirming their selection the Cabinet include Piyush Goyal, Ravi Shankar Prasad, Babul Supriyo and Jitendra Singh. Arjun Ram Meghwal, Prakash Javadekar, Muktar Abbas Naqvi and Ramdas Athawale.

-Bangalore North MP-elect Sadananda Gowda is also said to have received a call from Lok Kalyan Marg confirming his selection to the ministerial berth.

-The Sri Lankan President, Maithripala Sirisena, has been received at Delhi airport.

-PM Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah held a meeting at 7 Lok Kalyan Marg and made calls to those who have been chosen as Cabinet minister, according to sources.

-Thailand's Special Envoy Grisada Boonrac was received at Delhi airport by Thailand's Ambassador to India, Chutintorn Gongsakdi. The Thai Ambassador says, "We see Indo-Thai relations becoming even more dynamic. A strong neighbour is beneficial for India, we view BIMSTEC, SAARC, ASEAN as external neighbourhoods."

-General public movement will be closed from Vijay Chowk to Rashtrapati Bhawan and adjoining areas including North and South fountain, South Avenue, North Avenue, Dara Shikoh Road, Church Road between 4 PM to 9 PM today for security reasons.

-President of Myanmar, U Win Myint, was received at Delhi airport by various government officials.

-Chief Minister of Madhya pradesh and INC leader, Kamal Nath has also declined his invitation to the oath-taking ceremony.

-Punjab CM and Congress leader Amarinder Singh says he will not be attending PM Modi's swearing-in ceremony.

-Congress party to stay away from TV debates for a month.

-Maharashtra MP Amravati, Navneet Kaur Rana, arrives in Delhi to attend Modi's swearing-in ceremony. "I am excited to take part in PM Modi's oath ceremony. A number of youngsters have been elected this time, they will bring with them a new visio," she says.

-Prime Minister of Bhutan, Lotay Tshering reaches Delhi to attend PM Narendra Modi's oath ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhawan. He was received by India's Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhle.

-A revised list of guests has been made with increasing number with total of 8000 guests who will be attending PM Modi's oath taking ceremony at the Rashtrapati Bhavan. This will be the first time after the independence that such a huge crowd will assemble at the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

-PM Pravind Jugnath of Mauritius has arrived in New Delhi to attend Prime Minister Narendra Modi's swearing-in ceremony for a second term.

-Prime Minister Narendra Modi pays tribute at the National War Memorial in Delhi. Army Chief Gen. Bipin Rawat, Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba and Vice Chief of Air Force Air Marshal RKS Bhadauria were also present at the moment.

-Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Bharatiya Janata Party national president Amit Shah pay tribute to the late former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee at Sadaiv Atal Samadhi.

-PM Modi has reached the National War Memorial after paying tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Later today, President Ram Nath Kovind will administer the oath of office and secrecy to PM Modi. The swearing-in is scheduled for 7 pm.
