Kalbe Jawad supports Mayawati; appeals Muslims to vote for BSP

Lucknow: Shia Clerik Maulana Kalbe Jawad extended his support to the Mayawati-led Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) for the Uttar Pradesh Assembly Polls starting from Feb 11.

Accusing the Samajwadi Party (SP) of doing nothing for the Muslim community, Jawad said, "Akhilesh Yadav-led SP cheated us and hardly did anything for Muslims in the last five years in UP."

What else Kalbe Jawad said?

- SP and Congress tortured Muslims in the states they govern.

- Maulana said that SP and Congress play caste-based politics.

- I was tortured in SP regime. I was being hit with batons.

It may be mentioned that Ulama Council and Shahi Imam of Jamia Masjid, Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari have already announced their support for the BSP.
