Lucknow: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will visit Gorakhpur on Saturday.

While the CM will inaugurate the 'Swachch Uttar Pradesh - Swasthya Uttar Pradesh campaign' here, Rahul, on the other hand, will meet the kins of children who died in the Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital.

The deaths have been blamed both on encephalitis and a reported shortage of oxygen supply.

Ever since the deaths were reported, Congress has been attacking the Yogi Adityanath government in Uttar Pradesh and accused it of shielding the guilty.

"BJP government in UP is trying to protect the guilty. They should have done post-mortem first of the children who died in Gorakhpur medical college," said Congress spokesperson Ajay Maken.

"Had post-mortem been done it would have been easily established that the deaths took place due to lack of oxygen. They did not do the post-mortems deliberately," he added.
