Out of total 520 seats in Rajasthan (200), Madhya Pradesh (230) and Chhattisgarh (90), there are only 16 seats where there is fight among women.

Before the elections, the echo of women power was heard from Parliament to the streets but while giving tickets, the saying 'Phir Wahi Dhak Ke Teen Paat' came true.

Women quota has not been implemented yet, but no party has considered it necessary to put into practice the idea of giving 33 percent (33% of the seats in state legislative assemblies and the Parliament Election) tickets.

Congress candidate Zahida Khan, the current minister, is contesting against BJP candidate Nauksham Choudhary from Kaman seat of Bharatpur district. Nauksham had also contested elections from Panhana seat of Haryana. SC and Muslims are the deciding factors. In the last election, Congress got 58 percent votes and BJP got 37 percent votes.

From Ajmer South four-time BJP MLA Anita Bhadel is contesting from Congress's new face Draupadi Koli. Anita Bhadel is the only MLA here for the last four elections. Bhadel has also been a minister in the BJP government. Kauli has been associated with Congress Seva Dal. Here in 2018, BJP got 50 percent votes and Congress got 46 percent votes.

Senior BJP leader Vikram Verma's wife and current MLA Neena Verma is the BJP candidate and Prabha Gautam is the Congress candidate. Prabha is the wife of senior Congress leader Balmukund Gautam. There is mainly a war between the leaders and their wives. Neena's election, which won by one vote, had already been declared void by the court. There is a political war going on between these two families since three elections.

At Lailunga: there is a direct contest between Suniti Rathiya of BJP and Vidyawati Sidar of Congress. Congress has canceled the ticket of MLA Chakradhar Singh Sidar and given a chance to newcomer Vidyawati Sidar.

Political will is needed for 33 percent reservation for women. If women's reservation had been implemented, all parties would have had to field only women candidates on reserved seats. The winning candidates are fielded in the elections says Neta D'Souza, National President, Mahila Congress.
