New Delhi: Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi attacked the Modi government in the party's parliamentary meeting on Wednesday. She surrounded the Modi government, raising the issue of farmers' movement, border protection and disinvestment. Regarding border security, she said that the government should have a detailed discussion on this issue in Parliament.

Sonia Gandhi targets Modi Govt:

Sonia Gandhi said that inflation is at its peak in the country and people now want change. On the one hand, the government is selling the country's wealth, while on the other hand the common people are suffering from inflation. Sonia Gandhi also told the government a lot on the suspension of 12 MPs from the Rajya Sabha.

"We are firm in our commitment to stand by farmers in their demands for legally-guaranteed MSP, remunerative prices that meet costs of cultivation, and compensation to the bereaved families," said Sonia Gandhi.

She said that this move of the government is unacceptable. We stand with the suspended MPs and the government has to take it back. Let us tell you that the Congress is also preparing for a big demonstration on December 12 on the issue of inflation. During this meeting, Sonia Gandhi also targeted the Modi government regarding the farmers' movement.

The Congress leader said, 'Now there should be respect for the 700 farmers who lost their lives during the agitation. Modi government is insensitive towards farmers and common people. The monthly budget of every family has deteriorated due to the rapid rise in the prices of essential commodities.

"I cannot understand how and why the Modi government is so insensitive. It seems impervious to the suffering of the people. The steps it has recently taken to reduce petrol, diesel, and cooking gas prices are totally insufficient and inadequate," Sonia Gandhi said.
