After taking oath as CM, Charanjit Singh Channi addressed media."I will sever my head but I won't let any harm come to the farmers," Channi said. "We have to strengthen Punjab. It is a state of farmers. I appeal to the Centre to withdraw the farm laws," he said.

Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa took oath as minister after Punjab CM Charanjit Singh Channi. Governor Banwarilal Purohit administered him the oath of office and secrecy.

Charanjit Singh Channi has taken oath as the Chief Minister. Right after this Rahul Gandhi reached Raj Bhavan. At that time, Om Prakash Soni was taking oath as the Deputy CM.

Before taking oath, the leader of the legislature party in Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi offered Ardas(prayers) at Gurdwara Sri Katalgarh Sahib in Rupnagar.

Meanwhile, news has come out from sources that the new Chief Minister of Punjab, Charanjit Singh Channi may go to meet Captain Amarinder Singh. It was believed that the captain would be a part of this swearing-in ceremony, but he did not reach the Raj Bhawan.

Apart from Channi, the name of Brahm Mohindra was running in the forefront of the two people who are being talked about taking oath as ministers. Brahm Mohindra is considered close to Captain Amarinder Singh. Although the situation was not always like this, earlier Captain and Brahm Mohindra used to be against each other, but after the year 2017, the closeness that grew between the two became deeper day by day.
