Congress claimed that after Ananth Kumar Hegde, another BJP leader Jyoti Mirdha has openly said that the party aims to change the Constitution, adding that it is a "deliberate strategy". Senior Congress leader Shashi Tharoor shared a post on a video of Mirdha, the BJP candidate from Rajasthan's Nagaur in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, in which she is reportedly heard talking about the saffron party's efforts to gain majority.

Congress leader Tharoor said on Twitter, "After Anant Hegde was out of the bag, BJP leaders hastily stuffed it back and dropped him from their candidate list. Now another BJP candidate openly says that BJP's aim is to change the Constitution." Congress on Tuesday shared a video of the speech of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Jyoti Mirdha from Nagaur Lok Sabha constituency of Rajasthan, alleging that the BJP's strategy is to change the Constitution.

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor re-posted a post related to Mirdha's video on social media platform 'X'. In this, Jyoti Mirdha can be heard saying that for constitutional change there should be an overwhelming majority in the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. Tharoor said that after Anant Hegde, now BJP candidates openly say that the aim of BJP is to change the Constitution. He asked, “How many more candidates can the BJP reject to reveal the truth?”

Re-posting Tharoor's post, Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh said, "All these are run by Mahasutradhar himself." This is a well-thought-out strategy." Mirdha, in response to Tharoor's criticism, said, "As far as I understand, the BJP's objective is to serve the national and public interest...and if those objectives are fulfilled... If there is a need to amend the Constitution then it will be done.
