New Delhi: On Congress leader Surjewala's remarks after Punjab in-charge Harish Rawat, former Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh says that it seems that the entire Congress has come down to do comedy like Navjot Singh Sidhu. The captain termed both the rhetoric as a "comedy of mistakes".

Captain Amarinder shouts at Congress:

Harish Rawat had said on Friday that the party high command has taken action against Capt on the basis of a letter signed by 43 Congress MLAs from Punjab. On Saturday, Congress national spokesperson Randeep Surjewala issued a statement saying that Captain has been removed on the basis of a letter signed by 78 MLAs of Punjab.

The Captain quipped by tweeting that he will further claim that 117 MLAs had written the letter against me. Slamming the Congress for the false statements being made by leaders in an attempt to deal with the party crisis in Punjab, the Captain said the varying figures of those who signed letters against him to the party leadership proved that Congress leaders has lack confidence.

The situation of the party at this time is such that they are not even able to coordinate their lies properly. The Captain said that the Congress is in complete disarray and the crisis is increasing. A large section of senior party leaders have become disillusioned with the functioning of the party.

The former Chief Minister said that the truth of the matter was that 43 MLAs who had signed the said letter were forced to do so under pressure. The Captain said the Congress was now in a state of complete panic after its mismanagement of the Punjab crisis, which was evident from the statements of its leaders. He said the panic-stricken party was battling with internal chaos and working hard to clear the blame for its failures. It is sad to see how they are openly resorting to lies to justify their wrongdoings.
