The number of general voters in the state is 5,60,60,925, of which 2,88,25,607 are male and 2,72,33,945 female and 1,373 are third gender voters.

Election campaign for the 230 assembly seats of Madhya Pradesh and 70 seats of Chhattisgarh to be held on November 17 has come to an end.

In both the states, political parties made full efforts to woo voters through campaigning; meetings continued on the last day of campaigning.

A total of 2,533 candidates are trying their luck in the Madhya Pradesh assembly elections, which include 2,280 men, 252 women and one third gender candidate.

Voting is to be held in all 230 assembly constituencies in Madhya Pradesh on November 17 in a single phase. Voting will take place from 7 am to 6 pm. The total number of voters is 5,61,36,229, which includes 75,304 service voters. The number of general voters in the state is 5,60,60,925, of which 2,88,25,607 are male and 2,72,33,945 female and 1,373 are third gender voters.

A total of 958 candidates are trying their luck in 70 assembly constituencies in Chhattisgarh in the second phase, including 827 men, 130 women and one of third gender. During the second phase of voting, 1 crore 63 lakh 14 thousand 479 voters of the state will exercise their franchise, which includes 81 lakh 41 thousand 624 men, 81 lakh 72 thousand 171 women and 684 third gender voters.

A total of 18 thousand 833 polling stations have been set up to ensure smooth voting. Of these, 700 are Sangwari polling stations, where only women polling personnel will be posted. In Chhattisgarh, in the second phase, the time has been fixed from 8 am to 5 pm. Voting will be held from 7 am to 3 pm only at nine polling stations in Bindranavagarh assembly constituency.

Apart from these, in the remaining polling stations of Bindranavagarh, like other 69 assembly constituencies, voting will be held from 8 am to 5 pm. To woo the voters in the elections, all the political parties made full efforts, rallies, meetings and road shows were also held. Everyone promised to bring change in the lives of the voters and assured that if their government is formed, the conditions in the state will make their lives easier. Let us tell you that the counting of votes in both the states will take place on December 3 and the results will come on the same day.

Senior leaders of Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress campaigned with full force in this election. On one hand, many big faces including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath were taking charge of BJP's campaign. On the other hand, big Congress leaders like Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh were continuously holding rallies and road shows.
