Prominent Brahamin leader Brajesh jolts Mayawati to join BJP
Lucknow: In another big jolt to Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati, the former MP and senior party leader Brajesh Pathak left the party to join BJP.
His joining was formalized in New Delhi in the presence of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) President Amit Shah. Strangely, Brajesh Pathak was convener of Mayawati’s massive rally in Agra last Sunday.
It must have come as a serious blow to Mayawati’s plan for UP assembly elections as Pathak was a member of ‘team Mayawati’ since she had applied social engineering formula in the party with the help of Brahamins.
He was Lok Sabha member from Unnao Parliamentary constituency from 2004 to 2009 and was elected to Rajya Sabha in 2009.
