BJP’s ‘Jan Ashirvad Yatra’ begins in poll bound Madhya Pradesh
On Friday, the Yatra reached the hometown of Chauhan at Budhni where the CM also addressed a public meeting.
The ‘Jan Ashirvad Yatra’ of the BJP began in Madhya Pradesh, where assembly election is scheduled to take place in November/December this year.
All senior BJP leaders, including MP chief minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan, union ministers Narendra Singh Tomar, senior party leader Prabhat Jha, Kailash Vijayvargiya, will be taking part in the Yatra which will be criss-crossing different parts of the state.
On Friday, the Yatra reached the hometown of Chauhan at Budhni where the CM also addressed a public meeting.
Launching the Yatra, Tomar lashed out at the Congress for what he termed trying to fool the people of the state. He also referred to the controversy over the remarks on the Sanatan Dharma by Udayanidhi Stalin, the son of Tamil Nadu chief minister M.K.Stalin, and said that the attack on the Sanatan Dharma was orchestrated by the opposition.
‘’Sanatan Dharma has always been there with us, and it will always be there….no one can destroy it…those who try to destroy it will be destroyed themselves,’’ the union minister said.
According to the reports, at some places in the Yatra the BJP leaders had to face the protests by the people, including the BJP workers over outside candidates who have been given nominations by the party on some assembly seats.
At one place, the organisations of unemployed teachers also stopped the convoy of the BJP leaders and handed them over a memorandum demanding immediate issuance of appointment letters to the selected teachers.
Interestingly the Congress has also planned a ‘Jan Akrosh Yatra’ in the poll bound state which is scheduled to begin later this month. The objective of this yatra was to expose the BJP government’s alleged failures to resolve the pressing issues facing the common people, according to the Congress.
