Nurturing dreams to return to power in the forthcoming assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh, which are due to be held in November/December this year, the BJP has decided to deploy its MLAs from the state where elections are not scheduled, in the state.

According to the BJP sources in Bhopal, the BJP plans to deploy at least one outside MLA in every assembly constituency. MP has 230 assembly seats in all.

Sources said that the MLAs could be sent to MP from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Gujarat and Maharashtra and some other BJP-ruled states.

The MLAs, who were likely to reach MP later this month, would spend a few days in their respective assembly constituencies during which they would be meeting influential local leaders and a cross-section of the electorate.

They would be collecting feedback from the party workers and the electorate and later submit their reports to the BJP leadership.

Sources said that these MLAs would also state in their reports the factors which, in their opinion, could have a bearing on the assembly poll.

The BJP has also decided to hold a two-day meeting of the representatives of the local bodies including the village panchayat chiefs, Nagar panchayat chiefs, and members, at Daman-Diu next week.

The local body representatives would be given training by the party in electoral strategy so that they could lend a helping hand to the party candidates in the election.

The training sessions would be held on August 17 and 18, according to the party leaders in Bhopal.
BJP national chief J.P.Nadda and other senior leaders of the party would be attending the two-day camp and addressing the local body representatives. ‘’These leaders are expected to play a crucial role in the assembly poll,’’ said a local BJP leader.
