It is known that Rajendra Rathod was defeated from Taranagar seat of Churu district in the assembly elections. After this defeat, Rajendra Rathore had said that he was defeated by Jaichand. His reference was towards Rahul Kaswan.

In fact, the Kaswan family has been in possession of the Churu Lok Sabha seat for the last three decades. Rahul Kaswan had won from here in the 2014 and 2019 elections. Rahul Kaswan's father Ram Singh Kaswan was MP from here in the three previous Lok Sabha elections. Rahul Kaswan is the son-in-law of Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar's cousin.
