BHIM App: Mayawati accuses PM Modi of garnering cheap publicity

Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Supremo Mayawati on Thursday accused prime minister Narendra Modi of garnering cheap publicity by abbreviating the Bharat Interface for Money app as 'BHIM'.

Mayawati said that PM Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party has linked the name of the app with Babasaheb Ambedkar for cheap publicity.

What else Mayawati said?

- BJP is the master of deceptions.

- During the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, BJP misused 'Har Har Modi, Ghar Ghar Modi' slogan.

- BJP has tried to woo Dalit voters by keeping the name of the app as BHIM.

- She said that dalits are now aware of the foul intentions of the Bharatiya Janata Party.

PM Narendra Modi, had on Friday, launched digital payments app called BHIM based on the Unified Payments Interface (UPI).
