Bansuri Swaraj to carry forward mother's legacy, BJP fields her from New Delhi Lok Sabha seat

Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj, is ready to contest the upcoming Lok Sabha elections (2024). Bharatiya Janata Party announced in its first list of candidates (BJP Candidate First List) that Bansuri Swaraj will contest from New Delhi Lok Sabha Seat. Bansuri Swaraj has over fifteen years of experience in the legal profession. She joined the Bar Council of Delhi in 2007. After completing her graduation in English Literature from the University of Warwick, she obtained her law degree from the prestigious BPP Law School, London. His educational journey includes qualifying as a Barrister at Law and being called to the Bar by the Honorable Inn of the Inner Temple, London. Further enhancing his legal credentials, he completed his Master's degree from St Catharine's College, Oxford University.

During his professional career, Bansuri has carved a niche for himself in the legal field, representing high-profile clients in contentious litigation at several judicial fora. His expertise extends to a wide range of legal areas, including disputes involving contracts, real estate, tax, international commercial arbitration and criminal prosecution.

Bansuri Swaraj made headlines last year when she launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government over the National Capital Territory of Delhi (Amendment) Bill, 2023. During a press conference in Delhi, he criticized the AAP government since 2015 for its alleged incompetence, calling it "a quarrelsome and inefficient government." He congratulated President Draupadi Murmu for passing the bill, and expressed confidence that the administration in Delhi would Now it will work as per law.
