According to the report, BJP MLAs topped in asking questions in the House. Of the top 5 MLAs, 4 are from BJP and 1 from Congress.

ADR Report-BJP MLAs topped list of answer seekers in MP assembly

Association for Democratic Reforms (ADR) has given the report cards of MLAs from 2018 to 2023 in its report released on Wednesday.

According to the report, BJP MLAs topped in asking questions in the House. Of the top 5 MLAs, 4 are from BJP and 1 from Congress.

BJP MLA from Silwani Rampal Singh has asked maximum 390 questions. At second place, Mandsaur MLA Yashpal Singh has asked 387 questions, Congress MLA from Manawar Hiralal Alava has asked 383 questions, Sironj MLA Umakant Sharma has asked 381 questions and Javra MLA Rajendra Pandey has asked 377 questions.

At the same time, Sarangpur and Tyonthar MLAs have been present the most in the House, but they have not got tickets this time.

The presence of five BJP MLAs of the state in the House has been the best. These are the MLAs whose attendance percentage is 97 percent. Sarangpur MLA Kunwar Kothar, Jatara MLA Harishankar Khatik, Neemuch MLA Dilip Singh Parihar, Teonthar MLA Shyamlal Dwivedi and Sehore MLA Sudesh Rai were present in 77 out of 79 meetings.

91 percent bill passed in the house:

140 bills were introduced in the 15th Assembly. 127 i.e. 91% passed. Maximum 23 bills were introduced in the 8th session of 2021 out of these, 22 passed. Before that, in the 7th session of the year 2020, 19 bills were introduced, out of which 9 were passed.

  • The session in the House lasted the maximum in 2019 and the least in 2020.
  • On an average, the assembly meets for 16 days every year.
  • Longest third session from 8th to 26th July in 2019.
  • Eighth session from 22 February to 26 March 2021.
  • 19 meetings were held in both the sessions.
  • 26 meetings in 2019.
  • Longest session lasted 116.83 hours.
