New Delhi: Manoj Tiwari, president of the Bharatiya Janata Party's Delhi unit, has been removed from his post and Adesh Gupta has been made state president. According to the sources Manoj Tiwari's tenure as president was also ending, due to which this decision has been taken.

Adesh Kumar Gupta replaces Manoj Tiwari as Delhi BJP President. Adesh Gupta has been the former mayor of North MCD and is currently a councilor. It is being told that BJP National President JP Nadda has appointed him to the post of Delhi BJP President.

On Monday, Manoj Tiwari was taken under police custody. He was doing protest against Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal with his supporters. Delhi police claimed that he did not follow social distancing. Before this he went to Hariyana for playing a cricket match and did not follow the restrictions ordered by govt.
