AAP upsets Navjot Singh Sidhu; likely to head towards Congress
Amritsar: Speculations regarding Navjot Singh Sidhu’s entry in the Aam Aadmi Party apparently comes to an end with the latter refusing to accept his demand of projecting him as the chief minister face for Punjab in the upcoming assembly elections. Sources say that Sidhu, who recently resigned from the Rajya Sabha, is now finding a place in Congress.
Former Chief Minister of Punjab Amrinder Singh already had offered Sidhu to join Congress after the news of his apparent tiff with BJP was floating in the media.
AAP rejected Sidhu’s demands:
- Sidhu and AAP leaders had talks on Friday last
- Navjot Singh Sidhu wanted to be projected as the CM face for Punjab in the upcoming assembly elections
- He also demanded ticket for his wife Navjot Kaur
- Sources say that AAP rejected Sidhu's demand of declaring him the CM candidate for Punjab
