A curious tale of a police officer braving CMs orders

Lucknow: Who is this police officer? Why is he so powerful? Every senior, right from Principal Secretary (Home) to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) is engaged in protecting him despite he had been transferred with the consent of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav.

Dinesh Yadav, the SP (city) of Gautambudh Nagar (Noida) is under transfer and that too after certain complaints but the SSP has simply refused to relieve him. Everyone in the hierarchy is maintaining silence on the issue as why has he not been relieved despite the orders were issued three days ago.

SSP of Noida Dharmendra Yadav told Newstrack.com that due to shortage of officers, it is not feasible to relieve Dinesh Yadav him, a lame excuse because his successor if there. The police higher ups and Home officials are not willing to divulge anything on the issue.

Interestingly, like Dinesh Yadav, the SSP Dharmendra is also considered very close to senior Samajwadi Party leader Shiv Pal Yadav and according to insiders he is sparing no effort to stall the order of the state government which obviously has sanction of the CM.

More funny is the argument of the SSP that the shortage of officers did not allow him to relieve but Dinesh Yadav is in Lucknow since three days running from pillar to post to cancel his transfer to Meerut in the same capacity.

Not that his new posting is bad. On the contrary, the post of SP (City) Meerut if equally important, if not more, but his insistence to stay is baffling in which the SSP is also extending full support.
