Lucknow: A total of 58 literaries personality were awarded by Uttar Pradesh Hindi Sansthan on the occasion of Hindi Diwas.

Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, who was to present the award, did not attend the function owing to political crisis in the state and MOS, Abhishek Mishra gave away the awards in his absence.

It was also marred as the recipient of the highest award Bharat Bharti Samman, Vishwanath Tiwari didn’t turn up due to some personal reasons. His award was taken by yet another literary Asgar Wajahat.

Noted journalist and editor-in-chief of 'Apna Bharat', Yogesh Mishra was conferred with the prestigious Madhu Limaye Award.

Rajarshi Purushotam Das Tandon Samman- Hindi Prachar Sabha, Hyderabad

Madhu Limaye Sahitya Samman – Yogesh Mishra

Patrakarita Bhusan – Sheela Jhunjhunwala

Prawasi Bharatiya Hindi Bhushan Samman - Major Sher Bahadur Singh (New York)

Hindi Videsh Prachar Samman - Ramdev Dhurandhar (Mauritius) and Alok Mishra (USA)

Literaries of various languages and mother tongue like Maniput, Odiya, Marathi, Gujrati, Urdu, Sanskrit, Tamil, Dongari, Maithili, Malayalam and Kashmiri were also honoured with Sauhard Samman for working in Hindi literature.
