IPL 10 GL vs DD: Finch, Karthik power Gujarat to post 195 against Delhi

Kanpur: Following the heroics of Aaron Finch and Dinesh Karthik, Gujarat Lions posted a huge total of 195 runs against Delhi Daredevils in the Indian Premier League match at Green Park here on Wednesday.

Finch's breezy 39-ball 69-run inning was laced with six fours and four biggies. Karthik also played a valuable 28-ball 40-run knock, laced with four fours and one six.

After being put to bat, Gujarat Lions suffered two early blows in the form of Dwayne Smith and skipper Suresh Raina. Smith got run out at an individual score of 8 runs while Raina (6) was bowled out by Pat Cummins. Ishan Kishan played a fine 25-ball 34-run knock before being dismissed by Amit Mishra.

After three severe blows, Dinesh Karthik and Aaron Finch stitched crucial 92-run stand. Jadeja (13) and Faulkner (14) remained unbeaten, adding some quick contributions for the side. Home side milked 61 runs off the final five overs.

For DD, Shami, Cummins, Mishra and Brathwaite claimed one-wicket each.

With some young guns into its armoury, Delhi Daredevils needs to chase down the total of 195 runs in the game of pride.
