IPL 10 KXIP vs DD: Punjab bundles up Delhi for mere 67 runs

Mohali: Delhi Daredevils (DD) batsmen put up a seriously embarrassing performance against Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) by getting bundled up for mere 67 runs in Indian Premier League (IPL) match at Punjab Cricket Association ground here on Sunday.

Sandeep Sharma was exceptional in his four overs as he took four wickets for only 20 runs. Axar Patel took two wickets for 23 runs in his four-overs, while Varun Aaron spent only three runs in his two overs for two wickets.

Captain Glenn Maxwell also bowled nicely to claim a wicket and give away only 12 runs in his four overs. Mohit Sharma, in his 1.1 overs, bagged one wicket and gave only 3 runs, while T Natarajan, though, did not take any wickets but conceded only 7 runs off his two overs.

It was one of the worst days for Delhi Daredevils batsmen as none of them could reach to 20 runs. Corey Anderson was the highest run aggregator with 18 runs off 25 balls with 1 six. The other two batsmen, who touched the double figures were Karun Nair (11 off 10) and Kagiso Rabada (11 off 20), while Sanju Samson (5 off 14), Sam Billions (0 off 2), Shreyas Iyer (6 off 7), Rishabh Pant (3 off 6) and Chris Morris (2 off 5) failed miserably in helping their team in the problematic situation.

Delhi Daredevils batsmen, through their 17.1 over stay at the crease, could only hit three fours and two sixes in total.

The giant batting lien-up of Kings XI Punjab will soon come back on the ground to chase down a small target of 68 runs.
