Timeline of terrorist attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in 2018

Srinagar: In yet another big terrorist attack in Kashmir, Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorists launched a daredevil attack on the Sunjuwan Army camp at the Jammu-Pathankot highway on Saturday morning.

So far, two jawans have lost their lives while four others have sustained injuries. Army has issued high alert in the region after the attack was launched.

Here is the list of biggest terrorist attacks in the Valley carried out in 2018:

February 10, 2018: Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorists have launched a terror attack on Sunjuwan Army camp at the Jammu-Pathankot highway. Two jawans have been martyred while four have got injured.

February 7, 2018: Six people, including three soldiers, had got injured in J&K's Akhnoor in an IED blast.

February 6, 2018: Terrorists had attacked the SMHS hospital in Srinagar in which a Pakistani terrorist had escaped from police custody.

A cop had lost his life in the attack while another passed away while being treated for his injuries.

February 5, 2018: Terrorists had launched a grenade attack on Army camp in Kakapora. No one got injured in the attack.

February 3, 2019: Four soldiers got injured in a grenade attack on the CRPF Patrolling party in Tral.

January 24, 2018: In a fierce gunbattle between security forces and terrorists, two terrorists had been killed. While dealing with the protesters near the gunbattle site, a youth was accidently shot dead by the law enforcement agencies.

January 6, 2018: Four policemen had been martyred in an LED blast in Sopore region of Baramulla district while then were patrolling. The terrorists had planted the explosive in a shop between 'Chota Bazaar' and 'Bara Bazaar'.

Jaish-e-Mohammed had claimed the responsibility of the attack.

January 1, 2018: Five soldiers were martyred on December 31 when terrorists launched a daredevil attack on CRPF Training Centre in Pulwama district.

Army had knocked down three terrorists in the encounter which lasted for hours.
