Sridevi died of accidental drowning, says forensic report

Mumbai: In a shocking revelation, Sridevi, who passed away on the intervening night of February 24-25, did not die of cardiac arrest but due to accidental drowning, said the forensic report.

The forensic report, released by UAE’s Gulf News, reveals, the veteran Bollywood actress lost her life due to accidental drowning. The report also claimed that there were traces of alcohol in her body.

"Sridevi suffered a cardiac arrest while being in the influence of alcohol. She subsequently fell in a bathtub which was full of water leading to her drowning," the report suggests.

It may be recalled that Sridevi was in Dubai to attend the wedding of actress Sonam Kapoor's cousin Mohit Marwah.

Earlier, there were reports that the legendary actress passed away due to cardiac arrest. Her family members, however, had confirmed that she had no history of any sort of heart diseases.
