Mumbai: Anand L Rai, who is acclaimed for depicting the small cities with soul-stirring and touching emotions, has once again opted for a small district to commence its shoot for his untitled upcoming romantic flick.

The movie features the King Khan of Bollywood Shahrukh Khan who will very soon visit to the city and start shooting for the film. This is for the first time when Shahrukh Khan will collaborate with the director Anand L Rai and will play a role of dwarf.

The filmmaker, since last four months, is present in the city along with other crew members for recce and are looking for the arrangements. If everything goes alright then very soon the shooting for the film will be started.

Rai stated, "Certain parts of the film will be shot in Meerut, so I want to spend some time so that I can familiarize myself with culture and the people."

While talking about the film, Rai said, " It's an extremely difficult film, both emotionally and technically. This is going to be a lot of hard work for the actor."

LalKurti, Ghantaghar and Aabulane are the places chosen for the shoot. This time the actor will be seen in Meerut look for the first time.

It may be mentioned that this will be the third city of Uttar Pradesh chosen by Rai for the shooting of the film. Earlier, Tanu weds Manu and Raanjhanaa were shot in Kanpur and Varanasi respectively.

The movie will hit the theaters on December 21, 2018.
