Samajwadi Party suspended 4 MLAs

Lucknow, In a cracking action , the ruling Samajwadi Party has suspended its four sitting legislators of Sitapur district in Uttar Pradesh amid allegation of their anti-party activities in the recently held Zila panchayat elections.

The action was taken against them on behest of state party president and the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, the party spokesman Rajendra Chaudhary said. The Sitapur district unit of SP has, subsequently, been dissolved, he added.

All four MLAs namely Anoop Gupta (Mohali), Radheyshyam Jaiswal(Sitapur), Mahendra Kumar Singh( Sevta) and ,Manish Rawat(Sidhauli) were charged of action against the party candidate in panchayat polls and were held responsible for his defeat.

The ruling party had recently been tough on the anti-party activities and taken similar action in Shahjahanpur Fatehpur, Mirzapur and Sravasti.

SP has had a spectacular success in the Zila Panchayat elections in the state bagging 59 out of 74 Zila Panchayat seats .
