Islamabad, Acting tough on the list of evidence provided by the Indian government on Pathankot terrorist attack few days back, Pakistan on Wednesday detained Jaish-e-Mohammad(JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar and about a dozen others, reports in Pakistan suggest.

Masood was first questioned before the detention, according to Pakistani media.

Earlier today, Pakistan detained “several individuals” belonging to JeM, which is suspected to have engineered the Pathankot terror attack, sealed its offices after India linked Islamabad’s “prompt and decisive” action to the fate of Foreign Secretary-level talks scheduled on Friday.

Pakistan is also considering sending a special investigation team to Pathankot as more information would be required to carry forward the process of cooperation with India.

Terrorists belonging to the dreaded Jaish-e-Mohammad, headed by Maulana Masood Azhar of Kandahar hijack episode, is believed by India to be the architect behind the Pathankot terror attack in which seven Indian security personnel were killed.
