Lucknow: Former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh and Samajwadi party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav warned Pakistan against use of nuclear power against India. "If ever Pakistan attacked us with atom bomb, only two to four our towns will be destroyed. In retaliation if we attack Pakistan will be wiped out from the map.

Speaking at a function held to mark the trial run of a new train here, the former defence minister promised that if returned to power his party government would accord top priority to introduction of metro rail connection in the religious town of Varanasi and some other job-oriented schemes for the youth.

Referring to the BJP and the demonetisation policy of its government at the Centre, he said problem follows BJP and not the vice-a-versa , "When ever the party comes to power either at the Centre or in the state a host of problems are created. The same thing is happening now".

The recent decision by the union government headed by the party has added to the peoples' woes. About three weeks ago the party implemented a decision and banned high value notes and the people are still reeling under this impractical policy. The worst hardship is being faced by people in the rural areas. Farmers have been hit most hard, he said.

In his address, he had all praise for his chief minister son Akhilesh Yadav who was his target of attack a couple of weeks ago. " He has done a wonderful job by bringing metro rail service to the city. Some of his other infrastructure development and other schemes are equally laudable. ", he said in his praise.

Congratulating him for the metro trial , he said this and some other schemes backed by him are proof enough that the state was doing much better than most of the state and that the party government believed in fulfilling all promises made to the people.

He had no doubt that the developmental schemes undertaken by government in the state would see the party through in the coming assembly election.
