Modi to visit Lucknow for the first time after becoming PM

Lucknow, Elaborate arrangements are being made in view of Narendra Modi’s maiden visit to Uttar Pradesh’s state capital on January 22 next after becoming the Prime Minister.

During his half day visit to Lucknow, PM will address the convocation ceremony at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University followed by visits to Colvin Taluqdar Inter College and Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar’s Assthi Kalash Pushparban being organized by Ambedkar Mahasabha , the District Magistrate Lucknow Raj Shekhar said.

Earlier, he is slated to visit his Parliamentary Constituency of Varanasi to distribute equipments to the physically challenged people at a programme at DLW ground. During his day-long visit to uttar Pradesh, Modi is expected to spend two hours in Varanasi and four hours in Lucknow.

Adequate security arrangements have been ensured for the Prime Minister’s visit to Lucknow and Varanasi. Twelve companies of Rapid Action Force(RAF) and NSG snipers have also been requisitioned from the Centre in addition to the state police and PAC, informed Inspector General of Police ( Law and Order) A Satish Ganesh.
