Kudos! It's Dadasaheb Phalke for Ranveer and Anushka

Mumbai: One is hilarious, the other one is classy... One is fun loving, the other one will show you how the life should be lived... but, versatility is what the both are master at! We are talking about two of the most loved actors of Bollywood, Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma, who are recommended for 'Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018'.

Ranveer Singh will be awarded with Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award as Best Actor 2018 for his brilliant portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat while, Anushka Sharma will get the Phalke award for her producing skills.

Announcing the Padmaavat actor's award, the Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award committee wrote, "We take immense pleasure to inform you that you have been finalised for The Dadasaheb Phalke Excellence Award 2018 for the memorable role for the Padmaavat.”

Being applauded nationwide for her performance in Pari, this prestigious award will add another feather to Anushka's cap. The actress had set up her own production house, Clean State Films, in 2014 and is now one of the very few females in the industry who have impressed the critics as well as the audience with her choice of films to be produced.

Films like NH10, Phillauri and Pari being the latest have been made under the banner of her production house. Anushka's production house also focuses on fresh talents as well.
